Hello! My name is Carolyn Feghali aka CarolinaAnnPhotography. Based in Northridge, California. I don’t easily open up to others, most of the deeper parts of myself, my thoughts , ideas, and my feelings remain in my mind never to be expressed into words, but into images. Photography started as a hobby and then turned into a way to clear my mind and a way to express myself easier. Photography has helped me become more creative and able to really create worlds , and create images that express my ideas. My mind tends to wonder into different places that are not easily expressed into words. I daydream often about other worlds, other places. Daydreams of the sky swirls and the sky filled with vibrant colors, where day is night. Creating composites and photo manipulations in photoshop using landscape photographs I’ve taken, sometimes use stock images of animals, mythical creatures, milky way, patterns layer on top of the composite. Other times I simple go out and photograph whatever I see. It depends on the project and what I feel at the time. Working in different styles, from making images of worlds waiting to be discovered, and images of places visited, places that changed over time. My photographs tend to express my subconscious and sometimes my conscious mind. At times, a thought will pop into my mind and I will think of how I can make that thought into an image. Other times, I let my subconscious express itself, these are the parts, the words and thoughts that I was unable to verbalize, the visions seen through meditation and the dreams I had at night that I turned into images. Letting the creative flow, the intuition, the instincts taking over the rational mind.
