The trees and the stars are what make me feel at home. I feel at ease when there are trees around me. The trees will speak calm sounds relieving the worries, the fears, the doubts. If only one takes the time to connect, to re-establish the connection to nature that is forgotten. Trees are alive and they make these geometric shapes and forms after season’s change or being burnt to a crisp grow back in a new form. The trees are the sky connectors to the earth, the trees reach up into the sky and roots connecting down into the earth. Looking up a tree at night, you can see the shiny stars bright and galaxies made of billions of little stars. Stars are magical symbols of hidden worlds, they can take us to other places in our mind. Spaces look different from morning to night, from the bright sun to the shiny moon, the lights and the shadows appearing together.
For this project my creative process started with finding a location to photograph, I sit under a tree or in the open space closing my eyes and meditate there for while and when I open my eyes I begin photographing. Walking through the place and seeing everything in different perspectives, letting the images be created in a natural flow. Over the past a few weeks photographing everything I see in the space I went to, photographing first ,thinking later. The project is my way of expressing a relationship to the natural world and world beyond what is seen.
